Welcome to Lovelace Primary School

For over 75 years, Lovelace School has been at the heart of our local community in Hook and Chessington guiding our families on an exciting journey that we call the 'Lovelace Way'.

Whilst we are a thriving 3 form entry school we have held onto what matters most: a warm family feel where every child is known, where every child feels safe and every child is encouraged to thrive.

We are incredibly lucky that our school is nestled in a vast, leafy site on the edge of the greenbelt that makes learning outdoors a huge part of our life at Lovelace. From our enclosed swimming pool, wildlife area, outdoor amphitheatre, allotments, large sports field and Forest School areas to the beloved Dolly Lee Lodge and our dedicated specialist spaces like the cookery room and art studio— there is always something to explore!

Our vision for our children is to be ‘Learning Together, Succeeding Forever’, this weaves through everything that we do here at Lovelace. We understand that choosing the right school is a big step, and we would love to show you what makes Lovelace School so special.

'Thank you so much to your headteacher for showing us around your wonderful school today, we are sorry that we were unable to make one of the bookable tours. We appreciated her making time to see us! Lovelace is a beautiful school,  we were so surprised by the huge grounds that you have as well as the allotments and swimming pool.

We really enjoyed seeing the children learning in their lessons, they were so well behaved, there was a lovely buzz around the school. we are looking forward to hopefully joining the Lovelace community in September.'  School Tour October 2025

Pupils like coming to this school. They have kind friends to play with. Staff take the time to check how pupils are feeling. Pupils are confident that if they have a worry, they can speak to an adult who will help them. This helps pupils feel happy and valued.   OFSTED 2024

Tour Dates

If you would like to join our community for our Reception or Nursery 2027 Cohort we would love to see you on our upcoming tours!

  • Thursday 3rd December

Timings are 9.15am to 10.15am
